Welcome to the 2025 UKRI perspectives survey.
Launched in April 2018, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
To achieve our ambition to create an outstanding research and innovation system for the UK, to which everyone can contribute and from which everyone benefits, it is important for us to understand how we are perceived and understood by our various communities.
UKRI comprises:
Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)
Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)
Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
Innovate UK
Medical Research Council (MRC)
Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)
Research England
Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)
teams and services that work across all the above
In this survey, when we ask about ‘UKRI’ we are referring to the whole organisation, including the councils listed above, as well as their teams and services.
The survey is optional however, UKRI is encouraging as many people as possible to take part, whichever council or part of UKRI they interact with the most.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes, and your responses will help UKRI to ensure that it better meets your needs, both now and in the future.
The research is being conducted by IFF Research Limited, an independent market research agency. Any information you share will be treated confidentially and stored in line with IFF Research's data privacy policy, which can be found here:
